government of Canada broadened the definition and eligibility criteria for persons with

Tuition Support Program

For some parents struggling with a learning disabled child, an approved-private special education school can provide a level of support that the public system can not match.  Tuition at these specialized schools can overwhelm most budgets though. Canada Access Grant - Post-secondary education funding

A grant which may be available to students with LD's in Nova Scotia from the DOE. The maximum grant is $2,000 per year. Please refer to the handbook for additional information.

Canada Studies Grant - Post-secondary education funding

Students could also potentially qualify for a Canada Studies Grant (CSG) that covers academic accommodations such as tutoring, note taking, adaptive software, etc - maximum $8000 per year. More info.
